Off the Wall Art Sale: 23 June – 24 July 2011

Off the Wall aims to bring together an eclectic range of work from artists working in the Wairarapa and surrounding regions. There will be a range of work to suit any taste or price including paintings, photography, printmaking, light relief and mixed media works. Kindly supported by the South Wairarapa Creative Communities Funding Scheme.

All commission from the sale of art works will be donated by the artists to the Red Cross Christchurch Earthquake Appeal. Below are a list of events associated with the exhibition; Get the first peek of Off the Wall at the EXHIBITION OPENING, 8pm, Thursday 23 June 2011. Come along and explore the exhibition then create your own art work to take home at the Off the Wall CHILDREN’S ACTIVITIES, 10 – 11.30 am Sunday 10 & 17 June 2011. Gold coin donation. Vote for your favourite art work in the exhibition and see who wins The PEOPLE’S CHOICE AWARD. Try your luck at winning your own piece of original work in the RAFFLE, tickets $2.

A selection of works have already been auctioned on 14 May at the Featherston for Christchurch Fundraising Dinner. All 5 works were sold on the night and the exhibition was also promoted as a place to come if people wanted to purchase more art.
